n8n is a workflow automation platform with both source-available self-hosted and cloud editions, popular with developers and ops teams for its flexibility and code-friendly approach. It has a deep set of AI features built on top of LangChain primitives, including AI Agents, Chains, Memory and Vector Store nodes that let users build retrieval-augmented chatbots, agents and pipelines visually or with custom JavaScript. n8n supports OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Ollama, Pinecone, Qdrant and many other providers, and includes triggers and actions for more than 400 apps. The product is used to build internal tools, AI agents over private data, complex ETL and ops automations, and is offered as free Community Edition, paid Cloud and Enterprise plans with SSO, audit logs and source code license.
