ConsistencyAI (“the site,” “we,” “us”) is a hand-curated catalog of AI tools. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to control it. The short version: we don’t sell data, we don’t run trackers across other sites, and we don’t run affiliate tracking on outbound links.
What we collect
When you browse: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp). Used solely to keep the site fast and secure; retained for at most 30 days.
When you search: the search query and number of results returned. Logged in aggregate so we can find gaps in the catalog. Queries are not tied to your IP address.
When you click a tool’s “Visit Tool” button: we increment a per-tool click counter. We don’t attach an identifier — the counter just goes from N to N+1 server-side.
When you submit a tool: we collect the tool details you enter plus your name, email, and optional message. We use these to review the submission and contact you if it’s approved or if we have questions.
When you create an admin account: Supabase handles authentication. We store your email, hashed password, and Google/SSO identifiers if you sign in that way.
Cookies & local storage
We use a small amount of first-party local storage: your selected theme (light/dark/system) so it persists between visits. That’s it for browsing.
If you sign in to the admin dashboard, Supabase sets an HTTP-only auth cookie. It expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity. We don’t use this cookie for tracking — only for keeping you signed in.
Analytics & third parties
We may use one of two privacy-friendly analytics services to count page visits in aggregate:
- Plausible — cookieless, GDPR-friendly. Captures URL, referrer, and screen size in aggregate.
- Google Analytics 4— only if explicitly enabled. Uses Google’s standard cookie. Subject to Google’s privacy policy.
Tool logos shown on the site are fetched from public favicon services (Google’s s2 favicons, DuckDuckGo’s icon proxy). Those services see the domain the logo is for, but never your account or browsing history.
When you click a tool’s website link, you leave the site and go to the vendor’s domain. We don’t attach affiliate parameters; the link is a plain URL.
Data storage
All site data is stored in a Supabase project hosted in the United States. The catalog itself (tools, categories, descriptions) is publicly readable. Server logs, submissions, and admin accounts are not.
Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, or have it deleted, by writing to us at the contact address below. We’ll respond within 30 days.
If you submitted a tool and want the submission record removed, email us with the tool name and the date you submitted it.
Children
ConsistencyAI isn’t intended for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we’ll update the “Effective” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 14 days.
