Windsurf

Windsurf, originally launched by Codeium and now part of OpenAI, is an AI-native code editor centered on autonomous agentic workflows. Its core feature, Cascade, is an agent that can read across the whole codebase, plan multi-step changes, run shell commands, execute tests and edit many files at once while keeping the user in the loop. The editor builds on VS Code and adds inline AI Autocomplete, Supercomplete predictions, Chat with deep workspace context, and Memories that persist project-specific knowledge across sessions.
