About this tool
Gemini is Google's family of multimodal foundation models and the consumer chat product built on top of them. The lineup includes Flash for speed, Pro for general intelligence and Ultra-class Deep Think variants for hard reasoning, with the Gemini 2.5 and 3 generations adding stronger agentic tool use and 'vibe coding' capabilities. The models handle text, images, audio, video and code natively and support extremely long context windows that can ingest entire books, codebases or hours of video at once. In the Gemini app users get Deep Research for multi-step report generation, Gems for personalized custom assistants, Canvas for collaborative editing, and image and video generation through Imagen and Veo. Gemini is wired into Google Workspace across Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet, and developers consume the same models through Google AI Studio, the Gemini API and Vertex AI. Partners including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Figma and JetBrains integrate Gemini 3 Pro for coding workflows.
