Speechify is a text-to-speech app that reads documents, web pages, emails and PDFs aloud in natural-sounding AI voices, originally built to help users with dyslexia. The product is available as a Chrome extension, iOS and Android apps, macOS and Windows desktop apps and a web app, all syncing the same library. Premium features include voice cloning, including officially licensed celebrity voices, more than 200 voices across 50+ languages, the ability to scan physical documents using the phone camera, and an AI Voice Studio for creating voiceovers. Speechify Studio is a separate product for video voiceovers and dubbing, and the company also offers an API. It is used by students, professionals with long reading queues, accessibility users and content creators producing narration, with free and Premium subscription tiers.
