Character.AI is a platform where users chat with AI characters created by the community or by Character.AI itself, ranging from historical figures and fictional heroes to original creations and personal assistants. Each character has a defined persona, voice and back story, and users can have long, role-play-style conversations, including group chats with multiple characters, voice calls and image-aware interactions. Creators can build their own characters with custom personalities, knowledge and example dialogues, share them publicly and earn engagement.
